Wize Man Magazine

A magazine for inquiring minds and inspiration seekers, for the philosopher in all of us. I created this magazine to share my passion of philosophy and spirituality. Wize Man features one of my biggest inspirations, the author Richard Bach. Displaying my perspective of the world through a blend of complex, intricate ideas and simple, minimalistic design; I find the juxtaposition of these two elements to be captivating. Detailed illustrative elements progressively direct the viewer through the pages of the magazine, acting as a stream of consciousness that becomes “enlightened” as the reader turns each page indicated by the yellow color. Experimentation of normality when it comes to magazine design was my goal. I feature my illustration of a skull that in the beginning lacks the stream’s influence then, ending with the stream flourishing within the skull facing toward the viewer an acknowledgement to the viewer personally.
