Media Munchies

For the horror obsessed food enthusiast, Media Munchies is a monster mashup of iconic horror films with a recipe for disaster … or at least a recipe for a themed party or event. Media Munchies focuses on creating a horrifically cool space for those wanting to share their creations or explore simplistic recipes that are entertaining every step and stage of the cooking and baking process. Writing the intros to each recipe was a delight, the logo as iced cookies, the hero image being a collage I made to emphasize the cheeky tone of the site. I kept the design quite simple and clean to keep the site approachable while browsing. Yellow is used not only to simplify the design, but also to symbolize the yellow butter of popcorn; an extra detail to hint at the theme and purpose of Media Munchies, which isn’t for the faint at heart.
