Rosemary’s Baby
Drama, horror, desire, and mystery. Rosemary’s Baby is one of my favorite novels for its suspense and compelling storytelling. I wanted to emphasize the intensity and interest I felt when reading this book. Foreshadowing of a character called Terry who falls from the Castevet’s apartment window while wearing the Tannis root necklace that Rosemary would soon be gifted starting the strange and horrific events of the story. I include these elements in my painting along with intense colors that mimic a burning building and the speed at which the woman is falling down. Wanting a youthful color palette that pulls in the younger adult demographic, I painted the title and author’s name for this book cover and doodled on the author’s picture for a playful element.
