Tame Impala ACL Event
Tame Impala, the psychedelic one-man band, is ready to make waves live at Austin City Limits! Inspired by the 1960s psychedelic rock posters, I merged retro patterns with a modern and clean approach. Just as Tame Impala’s music fuses the past and present with layering tones and nods to past musical talents like the Beatles, giving an almost holophonic immersive experience my pink and orange wave illustrations are a visual portrayal of the multi layered sound. Each wave represents a different instrument or synth sound. Incorporating half-tone patterns to amplify the sound waves vibrating the type apart especially on “Tame Impala” a transcendent process that draws from the demographic of the vibrant and unique listeners.
